It's Me

Sekar Ariane Maharani

My name is Sekar Ariane Maharani. My family usually calls me Ariane or Ane, but my friends in school call me Sekar. I was born in Bandung on the 31st of May 2002. I am 16 years old. Now, I am a student of 3 Senior High School. I have an older sister named Sekar Sri Anjani. She's three years older than me. Shes now studying Planology in UNISBA (Universitas Islam Bandung). My mother is now working in PT. Pindad, and my father is already retired.
A lot of people that haven't really know me usually think that I am an unfriendly person. I am so moody, emotional, and annoying. Maybe I am a little bit complicated too. Sometimes, I don't know what to do in life. And there's a time when I don't even understand about myself. Maybe that's usual, especially for people at my age. So, I think that's my weakness. I still don't know a lot about myself and I know that I have to figure it out very soon. I want to know me more than anybody elses know me and believe that I will make everybody proud someday.
When I'm in a good mood, I always cheer up people around me. It always makes me happy when I get to see people around me laughing because of jokes that I made and things that I did. So, I am a cheerful person for people that is close to me.  I can adapt with new people that have the same personalities as me easier than people with different personalities. But, I always try to make myself close to all of my friends.
I usually enjoying my life by watching movies. I love American movies, whether it's romantic, comedy, drama, or action movies. I dont like horror and thriller movies, I would never see that kind of movies. My favorites actress are Anne Hathaway and Sandra Bullock because their act are awesome and they're funny.
The other thing that I do to enjoy my life is listening musics. I don't really have favorite genre of music. I listen to every songs that I like, Broadway songs, country songs, pop songs, and other. My favorite singers are Demi Lovato and Lea Michele because I love Demis strong voice and Leas soft voice.
I had never really experienced my talent by joining many competitions, so I don't know what my real talent is. But, when I was in the kindergarten, I got the first place at coloring competition. I had never been in any competition anymore until the 8th grade of Junior High School. When I was in the 8th grade, I joined a Story Telling competition and got the third place. That was my first and last story telling competition until now.
My goal for now is to focusing on things that I love and know more deeply about it. I want to graduate from high school with perfect score and make my parents proud. After I graduated from high school, I want to be accepted in another country's university, hopefully in Germany or England. I want to be a scientist of physick, chemistry, and math. After I get succes in my job, I want to go travelling around the world and watching Broadway when I stop in New York.

School Activity 1

Village Service Activity

Village service is an activity held by 3 Senior High School to give social and character lesson to their students.   This activity can give students of 3 Senior High School the experience on how is it like to live in a village, interact with people around the village, and help each other in the village.
On the 3rd of January 2019, the students of 11th grade wtih some teachers went to a village named Cibeureum for doing that activity. Cibeureum Village is located in Kertasari Subdistrict  in Bandung Regency. We went from school to the village at 7 A.M. by using public transportations (Angkot), and the journey took about one and a half hour. One public transportasion consist about fourteen people with the baggages.
At about 09.47 A.M., we had arrived in The Village Hall. The weather was cold, so different from the weather in Bandung City. In The Village Hall, we heard speech from Mr. Rohmat and Mrs. Aan as wice headmaster and one of the head of unit in that village. After the speech was done, we ate together in The Village Hall. Not long after that, each class took turns to go to their unit. My class got the unit 11. We went to the unit by walking. The unit was not really far from The Village Hall, but the problem was we had to carry our heavy baggages in the climb. It was really tiring.
At about 12.30 we arrived at our foster families. Every group, consist four people, had their own foster family in that unit. My class consist nine groups, which means that there were nine foster families for my class. My foster family was the family of Mr. Apep. Mr. Apep was the head of the unit 11. He lived with his wife and his daughter. He also had a son, but he was not living with them because he already had a job in a far away.  Her daughter was in the eight grade of Junior High School near that village.
On the first day in that village, me and my group friends had a little talk with our foster family. Then, we decided to look around and checked other groups house. Then, all of my classmates gathered in the house where Mrs. Diana, our teacher stayed. Then, Mrs. Diana went around the unit, passed by every houses of our classs foster families, and we all followed her.
In the afternoon, we took all the children in that unit to the kindergarten. We played with them all day long. We played hide and seek, domikado, and many more. But then, me and my group friends had to say goodbye to them because the four of us were gonna help Mrs. Diana packed the clothes, rices, oils, and other that would be donated to the foster families, while the others kept playing with the children in the field.
Soon, we heard adzan Maghrib. Thank god we were already done all the packing. We then went home and brought some clothes and other things to our foster mother. Then, we went to mosque and pray Maghrib together. While we waited for adzan Isya, we taught the children how to read Al-Quran and some daily prays. After we pray Isya, we said goodbye to the children and our friends and went home.
When we got home, the foster mother asked us to made some bala-bala with her. It was my first time making bala-bala by my own. I was happy because I really like bala-bala. Then, we ate dinner and watched TV. Not long after that, they went to sleep. I could tell that, they were not that kind of people that like to stayed up until night, just like me. A couple minutes later, me and my friends went to the bedroom and slept. The weather was really cold, so I had to sleep with jacket and blanket.
The next day, we woke up at 4 A.M to pray Subuh and then took turns to take a bath. After everyone was awake, we had breakfast and watched TV. After we had energies, we went out the house to do Friday Clean activity. We collected every trash that we saw in our way. Then, when we got bored, we asked our foster father whether we could do activities in farm. So he took us to a farm, and told the owner that me and my friends would like to help them. So there we were, pulled out all the weeds. The farmer were planting carrots in their farm. We stayed in that farm until 10 A.M.
At about 13.00, me, my group friends, Mrs. Diana, and some of my classmates went to The Village Hall to attenden some kind of activity that gave information on how to be a good farmer. We didnt really understand what they said and the program was pretty confusing, so we decided to took a little walk and then went back to unit 11 of the village. We went back by using a shortcut, so we didnt have to walk in a climb anymore.
Ater we got back in the unit 11, all of us gathered in Mrs. Dianas house to bring the donation for all the foster families in unit 11. After we finished it, we played with the children again in the field. We played soccer and chasing each other. Not long after that, me and my group friends went back to our house because our foster mother already made us lunch. We were tired and decided to take a little rest.
In the last day, we woke up early because Mrs. Diana invited all of us to go to Situ Cisanti. Situ Cisanti is the kilometer zero of Citarum River. We went there by walking. We passed so many climbs and farms, mostly potato farms. It took one and a half hours to arrive at Situ Cisanti, because we got lost. So when we arrived there, we alredy felt tired and couldnt really enjoy the view. We took photos together there, took a rest for a while and then got back to home by walking again. But this time, it was only took thirty minutes to get back home because we were not lost anymore.
When we arrived home, we packed our stuff we, said goodbye and thank you to our foster family, and then went back to The Village Hall, because the public transportations that we were gonna use was in The Village Hall. After that we went back to 3 Senior High School and got back to daily activities in school in Monday. Me and my group friends got potatoes, cabbage, and some snack from our foster family. It was a really memorable experience for me.
